The sun shone on Sunday to provide a fantastic backdrop to a successful and fun filled day at the Air Ambulance Heroes Run event held at Dishley Grange, Loughborough. After being tasked to organise and manage a series of four Heroes run events for Air Ambulance across the Midlands, it was great to see the first of these get off to such a fantastic start. Men, women, and children of all ages turned out to take part in the run, sporting a wide range of colourful Super Hero costumes that ranged from full scuba diving gear, to women in superhero pants, to entire families dressed as superwoman, superman and spiderman. And for those people who preferred a more leisurely pace, a Sunday morning stroll around the course with the dog proved to be a big hit too.Cat Foster, Fundraising Manager for Air Ambulance said “ The run was a great success with around 300 runners, families and friends demonstrating their support for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and we would like to thank everyone who turned up to support this life saving charity”
